Catalan Ombudsman claims the ombudsman's role to oversee private companies delivering public services |

Infringement of consumers' rights by private bodies
delivering services of general interest, such as water, electricity,
telephony, gas, etc, was discussed at the Conference on good
practices in private management of public services, held last
September by the Catalan Ombudsman in the Catalan House of
Parliament.

The Municipality of Sant Quirze del Vallès and the Catalan Ombudsman sign a singular supervision agreement |

The terms
of the agreement include an annual report on the complaints related
to the municipality handled by the Catalan Ombudsman and a
statistical study on the queries from residents and entities of Sant
Quirze. Also, the Ombudsman's team will move to the municipality on
a regular basis to receive complaints and queries regarding public
administrations.

Rafael Ribó opens the course of UPC Senior University Extension Program |

Catalan
Ombudsman, Rafael Ribó, is giving a conference to open the new year
of the Senior University Extension Program of UPC (Polytechnic
University of Catalonia). The speech, addressed to an audience of
people older than 55, will talk about the Catalan Ombudsman's figure
and task.
